The "Waste free Supply Chain Construction and Green Development Technology Exchange Conference for Hazardous Waste Utilization and Disposal" jointly organized by the China Renewable Resources Recycling Association, the Sustainable Consumption and Production Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, and the Solid Waste Branch of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences was held in Beijing from December 2nd to 3rd. More than 200 personnel from the ecological environment management department, experts from universities and research institutes, and industry leaders attended the meeting.

The conference comprehensively showcased the achievements of promoting green and low-carbon development of hazardous waste utilization and disposal through the construction of a "waste free supply chain". At the conference, Suo Zhiya, an engineer from Zhejiang Ecological Environment Group, shared the experience of creating the "waste free group" in Tongkun; "Tongkun Waste Free Group and Waste Free Supply Chain Exploration Practice" has been selected as one of the top ten excellent research cases in the "Waste Free Supply Chain" nationwide.
This medal recognition is the greatest affirmation of Tongkun as the first private enterprise in the country to carry out the creation of a "waste free group". Since the beginning of this year, the group company has regularly and monthly coordinated with various enterprises, environmental protection departments, third-party units, etc. to evaluate and analyze the actual situation of pilot enterprises, solid waste resource utilization projects, main practices and effectiveness, and existing difficulties, continuously improving the company's solid waste management capabilities.
With the concern and support of the provincial and municipal environmental protection departments, the group company is promoting the construction of "waste free groups" and "waste free factories" in a high standard. As of now, 7 enterprises within the group have been recognized as "waste free factories" in Zhejiang, 2 enterprises have been awarded the title of "Top 100 Waste free Cells" in Zhejiang, and 1 enterprise has been awarded the title of "Excellent Waste free Factory" in Jiaxing.
