At 11:18 am on November 29th, Zhongkun New Materials Co., Ltd. held a grand "Zhongkun New Materials 2" event × The commissioning ceremony of the first phase of the 600000 ton/year natural gas to ethylene glycol project and the Korla Petroleum and Petrochemical Industrial Park centralized heating and backpressure waste heat utilization project.

At the ceremony, under the joint witness of relevant leaders and the main responsible persons of various high-quality cooperative units of the ethylene glycol project, as well as representatives of the project owner and participating units, the Zhongkun project was officially put into operation and produced polyester grade ethylene glycol products with quality far superior to coal to oil (ethylene) production process routes.

 

 

The ethylene glycol project of Zhongkun New Materials Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 10.8 billion yuan and covers an area of 1500 acres. It uses natural gas as the production raw material, adopts internationally advanced oxidative coupling ethylene glycol production technology, constructs air separation units, conversion units, purification separation units, DMO units, and ethylene glycol units, and supports public works, forming an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of ethylene glycol.
As the largest benchmark project for natural gas to ethylene glycol production in China, this project transforms natural gas from traditional fuel to production raw materials, achieving a revolutionary transformation of "fuel to raw materials, raw materials to materials", forming an industrial coupling development trend, effectively strengthening and extending the local industry chain, and focusing on building a full textile and clothing industry chain from "one square gas" to "one thread", "one piece of cloth", and "one piece of clothing". The first phase of the project can achieve an annual sales revenue of over 3 billion yuan and increase direct employment by more than 800 people after reaching full production.
